Cell Division
Alex: The reason why we have so many cells is because of cell division. Cell division is when the parents give half of their chromosomes to the offspring. One parent gives 23 chromosomes. In total, the offspring would have 43 chromosomes in total. Cell division occurs only in eukaryotes cells. That is what happens in cell division.
Leslie: Cell Division is also known as mitosis. The process only occurs when fertilization(reproduction) happens. During the process of fertilization, there are 5 stages. They are interphase, prphase, metaphase, anaphase, and finally telophase. In every time when cell division happens, 2 new cells are formed.
Excellent research Alex and Leslie. I am very impressed at your professional online journal. Thank you for your hard work.
