Day 1 Research

Cell Types: Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells

Leslie: There are two types of cells. One would be a prokaryotic. Prokaryotic cells are cells that have a membrane-bound nucleus. An example of a prokaryotic cells is bacillus bacteria. They are rod-shaped, spherical, and spiral shape of prokaryotic cells. That is what the cell type prokaryotic cell is.

Alex: The other type of cell is a eukaryotic cell. The meaning of eukaryotic is trully nuclear. It contains of all the life kingdoms: Monera, Protista, Plantae, Fungi, and Animalia. Eukaryotichas organelles such as the mitochondria, chloroplast, etc. The mitochondria and the chloroplasts helps to make metabolic functions. An example of an eukaryotic cell is the animal cell.
